Forest Fires, Cinema and Law – Debates from documentary

In the context of the House Refuge project, on the afternoon of 19 June 2023, a debate session entitled “Forest Fires, Cinema and Law” took place in the Chapel of the Colégio da Trindade (University of Coimbra), on the documentary “From Devil’s Breath“, which reports on the Pedrógão Grande fires of 2017.

This event started with a presentation of the House Refuge, followed by two enlightenments of the documentary with the aim of raising awareness among citizens and policy maker of the urgent need to adopt measures and policies that minimize the possibility of such a tragedy being repeated.

Then, the documentary was screened, and its message and content were discussed in a round table with questions raised from the audience.
