Coordinated by Miguel Almeida, Senior Researcher at CEIF-ADAI, we are pleased to announce the publication of the book “Management of Rural Fire Risk in Residential Buildings”, in Portuguese, which resulted from the project House Refuge.
This book aims to provide readers with knowledge to appropriately manage fire risk near buildings located in rural fire-prone areas, targeting the general public as well as all professionals who directly or indirectly deal with fires in the urban-forest interface.
It covers topics such as fuel management around buildings, construction aspects and materials used, self-protection systems, and regulatory issues.
